About Mediterranean House

A Mediterranean house built with sandstone walls, a brick tile roof, and an outdoor staircase leading up to a terrace with a flowering pergola. The ground floor has an open archway entrance and decorated sandstone columns, with dark oak trapdoors and doors for contrast. Glazed terracotta patterns on the walls give it that tiled, sun-baked look. Flowers and bushes around the base soften the edges. Fits naturally into desert, savanna, or badlands biomes, and pairs well with my Spanish House if you're building out a southern European-style village.

Mediterranean House is a medium-sized Minecraft build, 17 by 22 blocks across and 12 blocks tall. It uses 1,256 blocks of 35 different kinds, placed over 222 steps in the 3D guide. The main blocks are 212 smooth sandstone, 194 spruce planks, 147 sandstone, 57 brick slab and 56 granite slab. It is rated medium to build and takes about 1h following the guide.

How to build Mediterranean House in Minecraft

  1. Open the 3D guide

Press the 3D guide button to load Mediterranean House block by block. Rotate and zoom with the mouse, and switch between building it layer by layer or following the ordered step-by-step route.

  2. Gather the materials

The material list counts every block in the build and sorts it, with checkboxes as you collect. Your progress saves, so you can close it and come back.

  3. Build it, one step at a time

Each step highlights only the blocks it adds, so you always know exactly where the next block goes. Completed layers stay visible underneath for reference.

  4. Or paste it straight in

Prefer not to place it by hand? Download the schematic for WorldEdit or Litematica, or the ready-made world for Java or Bedrock and walk around the finished build.

Common questions

Do I need to be good at building to make Mediterranean House?
Not really - Mediterranean House is rated medium: a few fiddly parts, but nothing the guide doesn't walk you through. The 3D guide shows every block in place before you put it there, over 222 steps, so following it is a matter of copying what is on screen. If you can place a block, you can build this.
How long does Mediterranean House take to build?
About 1h following the guide: it is 1,256 blocks, placed in 222 steps. That estimate assumes every material is already collected and in a chest nearby; it does not include gathering them, which is usually the slowest part. Pasting the schematic in instead takes seconds.
What blocks do I need for Mediterranean House?
Mostly 212 smooth sandstone, 194 spruce planks, 147 sandstone, 57 brick slab and 56 granite slab, plus 30 other kinds of block. The material list counts every one and ticks them off as you collect.
How big is Mediterranean House?
17 by 22 blocks across and 12 tall - a medium-sized build. Leave a block or two around it on your plot so there is room for paths and the edges.
Can I download Mediterranean House as a schematic?
Yes. Every build comes with a .schem file you can paste with WorldEdit or project block by block with Litematica, plus ready-made world downloads. Downloads for this build need a VIP membership.
Does this work on Bedrock, or only Java?
Both. World downloads are provided for Java and for Bedrock, so it works on PC and mobile (on a console, upload the world to a Realm and load it from there). The 3D guide itself runs in the browser and needs no mods at all.
Do I need any mods to follow the guide?
No mods, no launcher, nothing to install. The guide is a web page. Mods only come into it if you choose to paste the build in with WorldEdit or Litematica instead of placing it yourself.
