Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 September 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of GorilloBuild at gorillobuild.com and the content and services available through it (the "Service"). GorilloBuild is operated by Gorillo Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (full company details are in the Company Information section below). Please also read our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these Terms.
Not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. GorilloBuild is an independent fan project. It is not created by, endorsed by, or associated with Mojang Studios, Microsoft, or "Minecraft". "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
In simple words
A short, plain version for anyone who wants the quick idea. The full Terms below are the exact ones that count.
- These are the rules for using GorilloBuild. By using the site, you agree to them.
- If you're under 13, a parent or guardian sets up your account and agrees to these rules for you.
- Paid plans renew on their own until you cancel. You can cancel any time and keep your plan until the end of the period. (Patreon memberships are handled on Patreon.)
- Builds, guides and downloads are for your own Minecraft worlds. Please don't sell them or share the files around.
- You can share a photo of your own version of a build, with a short caption, and a village layout you have planned. We check every one before it shows, there's no chat between users, and you can edit or delete yours at any time.
- Play fair. If someone seriously misuses the site, we can pause or close their account.
If you're under 13, a parent or guardian looks after your account. If anything here is confusing, ask them, and they can email us at contact@gorillobuild.com.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, or by creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are under 13, you may only use the Service through a parent-managed account set up by a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf (see our information for parents).
2. Use of the Service
GorilloBuild provides Minecraft build guides and content, including interactive 3D and 2D guides, downloadable world files, schematics, printable guides, and interactive village maps. Some content is free and some is available only to paid members (VIP or Ultimate). We may add, change or remove features and content at any time. You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes and in line with these Terms.
3. Accounts and Registration
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You may connect third-party accounts (such as Google, Discord or Patreon) as described in our Privacy Policy; you are responsible for your use of those services under their own terms.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
- Paid memberships (VIP and Ultimate) are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Paddle.com, our online reseller and merchant of record, at the price shown at checkout in your local currency. Paddle is the seller of record for your order and handles payment, sales tax, invoices and refunds.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period, and you keep access until then.
- If your membership is provided through a connected Patreon account, it is billed and cancelled through Patreon, not here.
- Prices shown include VAT or similar sales tax where it applies (for example in the UK, EU, Australia and New Zealand). In some places, such as Canada and parts of the US, sales tax is added at checkout; prices there are shown with "+ tax".
- You can upgrade (from VIP to Ultimate, or from monthly to yearly billing) at any time. An upgrade starts a new billing period straight away, charging the full price of the new plan minus a credit for the unused part of your current plan; you see the amount before you confirm. A yearly plan cannot be switched to monthly part-way through the year.
- Your purchase is also covered by Paddle's buyer terms, which apply because Paddle is the seller of record.
- Prices may change; we will give reasonable notice of any change before it applies to your next renewal.
- Refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and your statutory rights.
5. Intellectual Property and Licence
All builds, schematics, world files, guides, graphics and other materials on GorilloBuild (other than User Content, which is dealt with in section 6) are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and (where relevant) an active membership, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use the content for your own personal, non-commercial Minecraft play.
You may build the designs in your own worlds and share screenshots or videos of your creations. You may not re-sell, re-distribute, sub-licence, publicly host, or make available the downloadable files (world files, schematics or printable guides), or claim them as your own, or use them for commercial purposes, without our written permission.
6. User Content and Community Showcase
"User Content" means anything you choose to publish on the Service: a photograph or screenshot of your own version of a build in that build's community showcase, the caption you write with it, and a village layout you share from the Village Planner together with the name you give it. Publishing any of it is entirely optional.
A caption is limited to 140 characters and is the only free text you can publish. Links are not permitted and are blocked, and we screen captions and shared layout names for offensive language. Users can give a photo or a layout a "like", but there are no comments, no replies, and no messaging or direct communication between users: nothing you publish can be addressed to a particular person, and a like is simply a tap, with no text.
By publishing User Content you confirm that it is your own work, from your own Minecraft world or your own plan, that you own it or have all rights needed to share it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law. You must not publish anything that is offensive, hateful, sexual, harassing, violent or misleading, and captions and layout names must not contain swearing, links, contact details, advertising, or anyone's personal information, including your own.
You keep ownership of your User Content. By uploading it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, display, reproduce and adapt it for the purpose of operating and promoting the Service (for example, showing it on the relevant build's page). You can delete your User Content yourself at any time from the build's page, or ask us to remove it by emailing contact@gorillobuild.com.
Every submission is reviewed by us before it appears, and we may decline, remove or take down any User Content at our discretion, with or without reason. We may also hide a post and ask you to change its caption, in which case the post stays hidden until you do and is then reviewed again. Editing anything you have published sends it back for review. We do not endorse User Content and are not responsible for it; it reflects the views of the person who submitted it, not ours. Once approved and shown, User Content is publicly visible alongside the display name on your account, so please do not include anything you would not want others to see.
If you are under 13, you may only publish User Content through your parent-managed account, and your parent or guardian is responsible for what is published (see our information for parents). Parent-managed accounts cannot write captions, and a village layout shared from one is shown under a neutral name rather than the name you gave it, so no text you have written is published. Posts from parent-managed accounts are also shown without a username or profile picture.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- share, leak or redistribute paid content or your account access;
- attempt to bypass payment, access controls or membership gating;
- copy, scrape, or bulk-download the Service other than as intended;
- disrupt, attack, reverse-engineer or misuse the Service or its infrastructure;
- upload or transmit unlawful, harmful or infringing material; or
- use the Service in any way that breaks the law or infringes others' rights.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Service, or where we are required to by law. If we terminate your account for a serious breach, you may lose access without a refund. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind except those that cannot be excluded by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that downloads will be compatible with every version of Minecraft or every device.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or Minecraft worlds. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, give you reasonable notice by email or a notice on the site before they take effect. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service, and you can cancel any paid membership as described in our Refund Policy. Using the Service after the changes take effect indicates your acceptance of them.
