Refund policy
Last updated: 16 September 2026
In simple words
A short, plain version for anyone who wants the quick idea. The full policy below is the exact one that counts.
- Our builds, maps and guides are digital and you can use them straight away, so a payment usually can't be refunded just because you changed your mind once you've started using them.
- Paddle, the company that sells our memberships for us, handles refunds. You can ask Paddle for a refund within 14 days of a payment, and they look at every request.
- You can cancel any time from your account settings. That stops future payments, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you've already paid for. (Patreon memberships are cancelled on Patreon.)
- If a build, guide or download is faulty or not as described, tell us and we'll fix it or make sure you get a refund. That right is yours by law and we can't take it away.
- If something goes wrong, like a double charge, a billing mistake, or a payment you didn't make, email us and we'll sort it out.
If you're under 13, a parent or guardian looks after your account and its payments. If anything here is confusing, ask them, and they can email us at contact@gorillobuild.com.
1. Overview
GorilloBuild is a subscription platform providing instant access to digital content including Minecraft build downloads, interactive maps, and 3D build guides. All digital content is available immediately upon purchase.
Our memberships are sold by Paddle.com, our online reseller and merchant of record. When you buy, your purchase is made from Paddle under Paddle's Buyer Terms and Paddle's Refund Policy, and Paddle issues any refund. This policy explains how that works for GorilloBuild. If anything here gives you fewer rights than Paddle's Buyer Terms, Paddle's Refund Policy or the law where you live, the version that gives you the most protection applies.
2. Your right to cancel (withdrawal)
UK, EU, EEA and Switzerland. Consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase and get a full refund. For a subscription, this applies to the first payment. If you are in the UK on a yearly plan, you also get a new 14-day period each time the plan renews for another year.
Because our content is digital and available immediately, Paddle's checkout asks you to agree to access starting straight away. If you agree and then start using, streaming or downloading the content during the 14 days, the right to withdraw no longer applies to that payment. This only concerns cancelling because you changed your mind. It does not affect your separate rights if the content is faulty or not as described (see section 3).
Other countries. Some countries give an unconditional right to cancel a digital purchase within a set number of days (for example 7 days in Canada, and 5 to 14 days in some other countries). Where that applies, you can use it as described in Paddle's Refund Policy.
3. Faulty, defective or misdescribed content
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for its purpose, and as described. This is a statutory right that cannot be waived and applies regardless of anything else in this policy.
If content you have paid for is faulty, does not work as it should, or is materially not as described, you are entitled to a remedy: normally a repair or replacement (for example a fixed or re-supplied file), or, where that is not possible or not provided within a reasonable time, a price reduction or refund. Please contact us first at contact@gorillobuild.com with your account email and a description of the problem so we can put it right. If we cannot resolve it, you can also contact Paddle, who will issue a refund where the content has a material defect.
This does not cover issues outside our control, such as content working as described but not being compatible with a modified, outdated or third-party setup. See our Terms of Service regarding compatibility.
4. Subscription payments
Apart from the cases in sections 2, 3 and 6, subscription payments are not refundable once they have been taken. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not by itself refund a payment already charged, and your access to premium features continues until the end of the current billing period.
Changing plan. Upgrading (for example from VIP to Ultimate, or from monthly to yearly billing) starts a new billing period straight away. You are charged the full price of the new plan, minus a credit for the unused part of your current plan, and the change is shown to you before you confirm. A yearly plan cannot be switched to monthly part-way through the year; you can cancel it and choose monthly when the year ends.
5. Promotional offers
Payments made under a promotional offer, discount code, or discounted yearly plan follow the same rules as full-price payments. You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not wish to continue at the standard subscription price.
6. Other refund requests and how refunds are made
Asking Paddle. You can ask Paddle for a refund within 14 days of a payment, at paddle.net (choose "Request refund") or from the support link in your receipt email. Outside the legal rights above, Paddle decides these requests case by case and may approve a full or partial refund or decline it, taking into account things like how much the membership has been used.
Billing problems. For a duplicate charge, a billing error, a payment that failed on our side, or a purchase you did not make because your account was compromised, please contact us promptly (ideally within 30 days of the charge) and we will work with Paddle to put it right.
How refunds are paid. Refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method where possible, normally within 14 days of the refund being approved. How long it then takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider. If a payment is refunded, access to the membership it paid for ends.
Refunds are not given where there is evidence of fraud or refund abuse.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge was made in error, please contact us first at contact@gorillobuild.com, or Paddle at paddle.net. Billing problems can usually be resolved much faster that way. If a chargeback or payment dispute is raised, access to your membership may be suspended while it is reviewed. This does not affect your right to dispute a charge under card-scheme or consumer-protection rules.
8. Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, which open Paddle's secure billing page, or from the "Manage subscription" link in your Paddle receipt email. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you will not be charged again, and your access to premium features continues until then. If your membership was provided through a connected Patreon account, it is managed and cancelled through Patreon.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, give you reasonable notice by email or a notice on the site before they take effect. The version in effect when you made a payment applies to that payment, and changes never affect your statutory rights (sections 2 and 3). Using GorilloBuild after the changes take effect indicates your acceptance of them.
10. Governing law
This refund policy forms part of our Terms of Service and is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. This does not affect any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Your purchase from Paddle is also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms.
11. Contact us
If you have any questions about this refund policy or would like to raise a billing issue, please contact us or email contact@gorillobuild.com and we will be happy to help. For refund requests you can also go straight to Paddle at paddle.net.
