Ghost blocks in a Minecraft world showing where the next logs go

The next step, right where it goes

How it works

Three keys and you are building.

Pick a build

Browse every GorilloBuild build in the game, with its picture, size and difficulty. Search it, filter it, sort by what's trending.

G or the house button on the pause menu

Place it

The whole build follows where you look, as a hologram. Turn it, mirror it, raise or lower it, then put it down and walk around it before you start.

↑ turn←→ mirrorEnter place

Follow the ghosts

Each step shows as ghost blocks exactly where they go, and moves on by itself as you place them. Look at one to see what it is and which way it faces.

Made for building in survival

The same building order as the 3D guide on the website, with tools that only make sense in game.

Easy Place

Hold right-click on a ghost and the right block goes in from your inventory, the right way round.

Material list

What you need and what you have, with tick boxes. Or see the raw materials to gather.

Build with friends

Start a co-op, give your friends the code, and everyone follows the same step.

Mistakes flagged

A wrong block turns red straight away, so you never find it ten layers later.

Photo mode

Zoom in for a clean shot of your build and post it to the Community page from the game.

Paste it VIP

In creative, paste the whole build in one go, and undo it if you change your mind.

Does it work on servers?

Yes. It runs on your own computer, so the server doesn't need it, or any mods at all. Only pasting a whole build needs creative mode with cheats on, or operator rights.

How do I build with friends?

Everyone needs the mod and a linked account. One of you opens the pause menu, the house button, then Co-op, and starts a session. Give the others the code: they type it in their own Co-op screen and press Join. Only people with the code can join.

Does it work with Bedrock, Forge or NeoForge?

Not at the moment: it's for Java Edition with Fabric. On Bedrock, each build's add-on can paste it into your world (with VIP), and every build has its 3D guide on the website.

Easy Place isn't placing anything

It only places a block you are carrying, and only where a real block could go. Some servers' anti-cheat doesn't like it, so if blocks pop back, turn it off with N and place them by hand.

It says to link my account

Apart from one demo build, the mod needs your GorilloBuild account linked, even for free builds (a free account is fine). If you are linked and a build still says it needs VIP, it's not in your plan.

What does the mod send to GorilloBuild?

Only what it needs: your link code, which builds you open, the builds you save or finish, and photos you choose to share. In co-op, the others in your session see your Minecraft name, the build, where it is placed and which step you are on; none of that is kept. Nothing else on your computer. The full details are in our privacy policy.
