About Oak Hillside House

An oak survival house with the living space up top and a fenced crop farm tucked underneath. An outdoor staircase on the right leads up to a balcony with flower pots and a large window overlooking the farm below. The ground level has rows of crops lit by lanterns, with a covered storage area on the left side. Roses and flowers border the front. The deepslate roof has a brick chimney poking through. Keeps your food growing right beneath your feet so you don't have to wander far, and the raised layout works well on riverbanks or uneven ground.

Oak Hillside House is a medium-sized Minecraft build, 20 by 19 blocks across and 14 blocks tall. It uses 1,195 blocks of 64 different kinds, placed over 327 steps in the 3D guide. The main blocks are 105 oak log, 85 spruce stairs, 83 spruce planks, 56 oak planks and 52 cobbled deepslate stairs. It is rated medium to build and takes about 1h - 1.5h following the guide.

Common questions

Do I need to be good at building to make Oak Hillside House?
Not really - Oak Hillside House is rated medium: a few fiddly parts, but nothing the guide doesn't walk you through. The 3D guide shows every block in place before you put it there, over 327 steps, so following it is a matter of copying what is on screen. If you can place a block, you can build this.
How long does Oak Hillside House take to build?
About 1h - 1.5h following the guide: it is 1,195 blocks, placed in 327 steps. That estimate assumes every material is already collected and in a chest nearby; it does not include gathering them, which is usually the slowest part. Pasting the schematic in instead takes seconds.
What blocks do I need for Oak Hillside House?
Mostly 105 oak log, 85 spruce stairs, 83 spruce planks, 56 oak planks and 52 cobbled deepslate stairs, plus 59 other kinds of block. The material list counts every one and ticks them off as you collect.
How big is Oak Hillside House?
20 by 19 blocks across and 14 tall - a medium-sized build. Leave a block or two around it on your plot so there is room for paths and the edges.
Can I download Oak Hillside House as a schematic?
Yes. Every build comes with a .schem file you can paste with WorldEdit or project block by block with Litematica, plus ready-made world downloads. Downloads for this build need a VIP membership.
Does this work on Bedrock, or only Java?
Both. World downloads are provided for Java and for Bedrock, so it works on PC and mobile (on a console, upload the world to a Realm and load it from there). The 3D guide itself runs in the browser and needs no mods at all.
Do I need any mods to follow the guide?
No mods, no launcher, nothing to install. The guide is a web page. Mods only come into it if you choose to paste the build in with WorldEdit or Litematica instead of placing it yourself.
