About Open Timber Stable

A two-horse stable with an open front, spruce plank roof, and individual stalls separated by a wooden divider. Lanterns sit on stone posts at each corner and fence gates close off the front of each stall. The open sides let you see through to the back, keeping it airy. An easy build to place next to your base or along a village road. You can also extend it by adding more stalls if you end up with a bigger herd.

Open Timber Stable is a small Minecraft build, 10 by 13 blocks across and 6 blocks tall. It uses 311 blocks of 21 different kinds, placed over 64 steps in the 3D guide. The main blocks are 46 spruce stairs, 35 spruce slab, 25 spruce trapdoor, 24 spruce fence and 12 stripped spruce log. It is rated easy to build and takes about 20 - 25 min following the guide.

How to build Open Timber Stable in Minecraft

  1. Open the 3D guide

Press the 3D guide button to load Open Timber Stable block by block. Rotate and zoom with the mouse, and switch between building it layer by layer or following the ordered step-by-step route.

  2. Gather the materials

The material list counts every block in the build and sorts it, with checkboxes as you collect. Your progress saves, so you can close it and come back.

  3. Build it, one step at a time

Each step highlights only the blocks it adds, so you always know exactly where the next block goes. Completed layers stay visible underneath for reference.

  4. Or paste it straight in

Prefer not to place it by hand? Download the schematic for WorldEdit or Litematica, or the ready-made world for Java or Bedrock and walk around the finished build.

Common questions

Do I need to be good at building to make Open Timber Stable?
No - Open Timber Stable is rated easy, one of the gentlest builds on the site. The 3D guide shows every block in place before you put it there, over 64 steps, so following it is a matter of copying what is on screen. If you can place a block, you can build this.
How long does Open Timber Stable take to build?
About 20 - 25 min following the guide: it is 311 blocks, placed in 64 steps. That estimate assumes every material is already collected and in a chest nearby; it does not include gathering them, which is usually the slowest part. Pasting the schematic in instead takes seconds.
What blocks do I need for Open Timber Stable?
Mostly 46 spruce stairs, 35 spruce slab, 25 spruce trapdoor, 24 spruce fence and 12 stripped spruce log, plus 16 other kinds of block. The material list counts every one and ticks them off as you collect.
How big is Open Timber Stable?
10 by 13 blocks across and 6 tall - a small build. Leave a block or two around it on your plot so there is room for paths and the edges.
Can I download Open Timber Stable as a schematic?
Yes. Every build comes with a .schem file you can paste with WorldEdit or project block by block with Litematica, plus ready-made world downloads. Downloads for this build need a VIP membership.
Does this work on Bedrock, or only Java?
Both. World downloads are provided for Java and for Bedrock, so it works on PC and mobile (on a console, upload the world to a Realm and load it from there). The 3D guide itself runs in the browser and needs no mods at all.
Do I need any mods to follow the guide?
No mods, no launcher, nothing to install. The guide is a web page. Mods only come into it if you choose to paste the build in with WorldEdit or Litematica instead of placing it yourself.
