About British Fish & Chip Shop

A classic British fish and chip shop with a simple shopfront and plenty of small details. The build captures the feel of a traditional local takeaway, with space for signs, counters, and other decorative touches. Taken from my British village, it can also be used along town streets, seaside promenades, or anywhere you want to add a bit of British character.

British Fish & Chip Shop is a medium-sized Minecraft build, 14 by 19 blocks across and 16 blocks tall. It uses 1,363 blocks of 122 different kinds, placed over 453 steps in the 3D guide. The main blocks are 98 andesite, 96 stone, 79 oak planks, 73 cobbled deepslate stairs and 68 jungle slab. It is rated medium to build and takes about 1.5h - 2h following the guide.

Common questions

Do I need to be good at building to make British Fish & Chip Shop?
Not really - British Fish & Chip Shop is rated medium: a few fiddly parts, but nothing the guide doesn't walk you through. The 3D guide shows every block in place before you put it there, over 453 steps, so following it is a matter of copying what is on screen. If you can place a block, you can build this.
How long does British Fish & Chip Shop take to build?
About 1.5h - 2h following the guide: it is 1,363 blocks, placed in 453 steps. That estimate assumes every material is already collected and in a chest nearby; it does not include gathering them, which is usually the slowest part. Pasting the schematic in instead takes seconds.
What blocks do I need for British Fish & Chip Shop?
Mostly 98 andesite, 96 stone, 79 oak planks, 73 cobbled deepslate stairs and 68 jungle slab, plus 117 other kinds of block. The material list counts every one and ticks them off as you collect.
How big is British Fish & Chip Shop?
14 by 19 blocks across and 16 tall - a medium-sized build. Leave a block or two around it on your plot so there is room for paths and the edges.
Can I download British Fish & Chip Shop as a schematic?
Yes. Every build comes with a .schem file you can paste with WorldEdit or project block by block with Litematica, plus ready-made world downloads. Downloads for this build need a VIP membership.
Does this work on Bedrock, or only Java?
Both. World downloads are provided for Java and for Bedrock, so it works on PC and mobile (on a console, upload the world to a Realm and load it from there). The 3D guide itself runs in the browser and needs no mods at all.
Do I need any mods to follow the guide?
No mods, no launcher, nothing to install. The guide is a web page. Mods only come into it if you choose to paste the build in with WorldEdit or Litematica instead of placing it yourself.
